Shamans...the Original Medicine Men and Women. "Shaman" is a Siberian Tungus word that refers to a person who makes journeys to non-ordinary reality in an altered state of consciousness (ASC). Shamans make journeys for diagnostic purposes for health (healing) or to get information (divination) about your problems from a spiritual point of view. Shamanism is a complimentary spiritual healing practice to aid well-being when conventional modalities do not work. From the shamanic POV, people who are not spiritually "power-filled” are prone to illness, accidents, and "bad luck." This is caused by any number of things: illness, negative people, stressful or traumatic events, or learned behaviors and ways of thinking - all of which cause loss of vitality, an ungrounded nature, or taking on things that do not belong to you. Shamans work with compassionate helping spirits to remove anything that interferes with the health of the body, mind, or soul and to restore your link to spiritual power. Practices include Divination, Power Animal Retrieval, Soul Retrieval, Tuvan Drum Healing, Extraction Healing, Channeling Healers or the Elements, and Psychopomp work for the dead to ensure they are in a place of peace. Also included is Ancestral Healing both for the ancestors and for you. How do I know if shamanic healing is right for me? We live in times presenting more questions and challenges than ever before. This can undermine self-confidence and leave you feeling lost or off balance. Shamanic healing holds the power to communicate with your helping spirits who provide the guidance you seek. What does a session look like? You will be asked to briefly describe the issue of concern and to provide your permission for me to journey on your behalf to the compassionate spirits to identify the recommended healing work. The healing part of the session begins. After the healing, a short discussion follows about the work completed and if follow-ups are needed. Work can be done in-person or at-a-distance.
